8A - Solving the Problem


My selected opportunity is to create a product that combines three-hole punching paper and stick hole protectors on it. The product that I intend to sell to my customers will look similar to a three-hole puncher but will have two levers instead of one. One lever will be for three-hole punching and then the other lever will place the three-hole puncher protectors on it. This will eliminate time wasted on hand placing the stickers and will also save money because two of the steps are combined. I think this product has an opportunity to be very successful because it will be the first of its kind on the market. Also, the range of people that would use this product is very wide. All different ages of people have a need for this, and offices and businesses would also find this product helpful. Overall, I am excited to discuss this product in depth for the rest of the semester.

    Michael,

    I like the sound of your idea. This product would be very efficient and convenient. I can see it having major success because as you mentioned, it is the the first of its kind on the market and wouldn't have too many close competitors. However, it would like to see how you could perfectly market and sell this product to a world that seems to be shifting to only using technology. I would love to learn more about your opportunity throughout the semester.

    Michael,

    The one great part of your opportunity is that the there are a plethora of different customers with this problem. This hole puncher could be used in schools, offices, at home, and any where else where you would need paper. I completely understand how it would be efficient. Again I just don't know if this product is already available. All I know is I would be a customer and definitely use this product to my advantage. I really appreciated how you described the details of this product. Good job.

    Michael,

    I think this mechanism would be very high in demand if you are able to create it. Personally, I am old fashioned and I prefer to use paper over technology and that will not change over time. With that being said, even though our society is becoming so much more tech based, there will always be people that only use paper. Overall, this seems like a great opportunity and I look forward to seeing your posts develop into more detail.

26A - Celebrating Failure

1)     This semester a set a goal out to increase the number of times I go on a run per week. I planned on waking up early and starting most of my days with a run. At the beginning of the semester, I followed my plan for a couple of weeks, however, I ended up constantly putting it off and not achieving my original goal I set out. It took the coronavirus outbreak and gyms closing to force me into a better habit of running daily. 2)     I learned that the most important thing to do when setting a goal is to make sure you start of strong.
