9A - Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2
Interview 1.
a) Who: he has never heard of the product before, does not think that there are a lot of businesses with a similar product
b) What: he identified efficiency as the need, and he thinks that people who are not in a hurry or are not in a formal capacity
c) Why: yes, because not everyone would find use in this product, some people would rather get a cheaper more simplistic product
Interview 2.
a) Who: he said yes, he thinks that staples has hole punchers and I am just combining two products, Michael’s has school supplies
b) What: Effectiveness, he thinks that this product will save a lot of time then manually having to place reinforced stickers on the holes
c) Why: he thinks people that are less organized would be more likely to use it because they have a higher chance of the binder rings ripping the holes
Interview 3.
a) Who: most if not all businesses would use this, but the individuals who would by these might fall outside the boundary
b) What: it differs because of the convenience of having a 2 in 1 product, and also is more efficient and time saving
c) Why: He does not believe that the underlying cause of the outsiders need is different than the people are inside the boundary
Interview 4.
a) Who: She thought that this product may be a lot more popular with businesses and companies that would use it a lot more because they would be saving a lot of time, individual consumers may not feel the need to purchase this because of their infrequent use
b) What: she thought that it differs from other similar products due to the fact that it is time saving and money saving
c) Why: she said that the underlying need is different as mentioned in the who response, that businesses verse people have different needs, however, businesses would buy more bulk of the product
Interview 5.
a) Who: he said that there are certain people that share a lot in common that would also fall outside of the boundary, for example, a business that is strictly paperless would have a different need for the product then one that uses a lot of paper like a lawyer
b) What: he thought that the need changes when one does not use the product enough or does not currently have a problem with ripped holes in paper
c) Why: he thought the needs are different because of some people have experienced this problem, while, others have not. He thinks that a lot of people do not know if they need this product or not because it has not been on the market yet

Summarize:
Overall, I learned a lot from interviewing five people and determining the difference between people who fell inside or outside of the boundary. One take away is that even though some people would benefit from the product they may not think that it is necessary for them to spend more money on. That is why I think this product should shift more towards larger businesses that would save a lot of time and money using this product.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your product and I believe that there is a huge need for it in the business world as well as in school. As mentioned in the interview above, it is a 2 in 1 product so it is saving you time and doing things faster and easier is a lot less stressful. This is a product I would definitely use as well as many others. Great post!
