Bug List - Michael Fruit

1) The libraries at University of Florida are too crowded during finals week

Why: Many students cram for finals at UF which causes a disproportionate influx of students

2) Chipotle on University is always crowded

Why: It is in walking distance from campus and is inexpensive and somewhat appears healthy

3) Limited parking on UF Campus

Why: UF has not expanded number of spots available even though the number of students have been increasing.

4) Slow cars in the HOV or express lane

Why: It only takes one car in a lane to slow down traffic and it is almost probable that there will be at least one slow car

5) Trucks passing another truck on a two lane highway

Why: Truck drivers get impatient when they find a truck going really slow in the right lane

6) Credit/debit card chips that are old

Why: My debit card chip has had a lot of use and it takes me multiple tries until a card reader accepts it

7) People at southwest that are on their phones when someone is waiting for a machine

Why: Some people are not in a hurry and like to take there time on machines even when the gym is very crowded

8) Having a food delivery order get cancelled after waiting for the whole estimated time
Why: The delivery apps are not always reliable and orders can be cancelled anytime

9) Having a delivery order that is incorrect
Why: Drivers/restaurants do not take time to double check orders to make sure they are right and by the time the order is delivered there is not much one can do to correct it

10) Sharing a space with someone who is dirty
Why: I end up having to clean for two people because it is a shared space and one of us does not care how it looks

11) Uber prices rising on gamedays at UF
Why: the large demand for Uber on gamedays from fans visiting causes college kids to have to spend more on Ubers

12) Cracks in sidewalks that make you trip
Why: sidewalks are old and people do not want to pay for them

13) Water Bottle sensors that do not automatically recognize your bottle
Why: Some sensors are not as well made as others and requires you to use your hand to make water come out

14) Vending machines that are missing items
Why: vending machines want to have a wide range of items but only a few things are heavily demanded that become out of stock quickly

15) Long restaurant lines
Why: people usually eat at the same time which causes lines to be long

16) Locking law library at night
Why: law library is the closest and quietest library near me and they like to lock it during certain hours and only let law students in

17) One person taking up an entire table
Why: Some people like to spread their backpack and materials everywhere and take up the whole table

18) People asking me to borrow my car
Why: Not many people bring their cars to campus and ask me to borrow mine

19) 20 MPH speed limit on campus
Why: When I am in a hurry and cannot get to where i need to quickly do to this limit

20) Phone losing battery quickly when I do not have a charger or outlet
Why: Outlets are not always conveniently placed when I need to charge my phone

Reflection: Overall, I found it easy to think of twenty bugs after I completed the first couple. It is not hard to think of small things that get on people's nerves. There will never be a time when everyone is completely complacent with everything that is going on, which leads to the need for entrepreneurs.

    1. 1. Michael I am very impressed with you post! Overall I think you did a great job following the directions of the bug list. I really like how your choices and I can sympathize with you for many of your bugs!
      2. One bug I really agreed with is the 20 MPH speed limit on campus. I understand that this is Gainesville safety procedure but I tend to find myself in hurries too and I wish I could drive faster on campus. I also agree with sharing spaces with people who are dirty. It's never fun cleaning up after your friends and I find myself doing that frequently.
      3. Your post is near perfect but if I could offer constructive criticism it would be to elaborate for the "why" part. Maybe provide more detail as to why some of your items bug you. Great post Michael!
